Prepaid Mastercard and Ryanair

If you are looking to avoid Ryanair’s obscene booking fees then a simple way to avoid it is to book your flights using prepaid mastercard (correct at time of writing). It used to be visa electron that didn’t incur booking fees with Ryanair but as more people started to use them it changed to prepaid Mastercard.

You can learn more about prepaid cards throughout out this website, but essentially you top them up with money before hand and then use them to buy in the same way you would with a normal credit or debit card.

Remeber that it has to be a prepaid mastercard – it won’t work with splash plastic and the bread card because they are prepaid maestro cards.
